Independent Auditor Service

The vendor is required to provide that independent auditor service council appoints the full-time town clerk and treasurer, legal counsel and municipal judge, with engineering.
-The mayor, town clerk, attorney, fire chief and engineer, meets on an as needed basis.
-Internal departments include the police department, public works, administration, municipal court, of record.
-He financial statements of the governmental activities, the business-type activities, the aggregate discretely presented component units, each major fund, and the aggregate remaining fund information, and the disclosures, which collectively comprise the basic financial statements.
-Such information, although basic financial statements, is required by the governmental accounting standards board who considers it to be an essential part of financial reporting for placing the basic financial statements in an appropriate operational, economic, or historical context.
-The objectives of the audit are to obtain reasonable assurance as to whether the financial statements from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error; issue an auditor’s report that includes our opinion your financial statements are fairly presented, in all material respects, in conformity with generally accepted.
-Proposals should include:
•Executive summary--An overview of the significant features of service to be provided.
•General information--Provide the contact person, company name, address, telephone number, and other general information you believe to be relevant.
•Philosophical approach-- your approach to providing the proposed services, to give the town the opportunity to understand your approach to the process.
•Services--Discuss services are to be provided under the proposal, and which services, if any, are specifically excluded.
•Experience--Discuss the experience you or your firm has, particularly in small communities and municipal audits. Include references.
•Town-provided materials--Describe, if anything, the office is expected to provide, including office space, records, or other tangible or intangible support item.
