The Vendor is required to provide certified public accountants (CPAs) or CPA firms to review and validate financial data related to the floating homestead exemption provided for within House Bill 581.
- This review is intended to ensure that all relevant data used to estimate the financial impact of this legislation to district is accurate, complete and compliant with the provisions outlined in section ii of the legislation.
- The selected CPA or firm will be responsible for:
• Reviewing and validating data sets identified by county schools as relevant to HB 581.
• Ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency with HB 581 requirements.
• Assessing internal control procedures related to data compilation and reporting.
• Providing a formal report of findings, including:
1. Certified summary of data validation results
2. Identification of any discrepancies or concerns
3. Recommendations for corrective actions or process improvements.
