Design Services for Sports Park Facility

The vendor is required to provide design services for wheeled sports park facility.
- Turn-key services for the management, public input, design, engineering, and preparation of construction documents for the project; the consultant should provide a detailed approach to the project, however, the following framework is offered to provide guidance and understanding of the city’s expectations.
- Include all aspects of the project including, but not limited to, coordination with selected specialty design/build firm(s), public input, surveying, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, storm water engineering, structural design, landscape design, lighting design, utility coordination, architecture, and the consolidation of all designs into the preparation of permitted construction documents for a best-in-class wheeled sports park complex to be bid for construction.
- Project meetings and coordination:
- The selected team will be expected to lead a variety of meetings throughout the project.
- Meeting deemed necessary to successfully communicate, design, engineer, and permit the project as it evolves should be anticipated; proposals should clearly outline anticipated meeting and outreach needs and strategies based on prior relevant experience.
- Digital/online and creative approaches to receive efficient feedback and coordination will be considered.
- The project shall consist of overall park design and project management in coordination with the bicycle playground, skate park, and pump track design/build firm(s).
- The city will obtain separate contracts with bicycle playground, Skate Park, and pump track design/build firm(s) through approved procurement processes to lead design and implementation of these elements.
- Include public input results, graphics showing proposed designs, recommendations for fundraising development, all the required engineering drawings, permitting of final construction documents, final schedule of values for bidding, a utility package as needed, and any other items deemed necessary to bid and successfully construct the final permitted design set.
- Direct and continuous coordination with these specialty element design partners will be vital to the success of this project and must be incorporated into all aspects of the project including, but not limited to, public input, fundraising, graphics, design, engineering, permitting, and stakeholder management.
