The Vendor is required to provide comprehensive accessibility and universal design services to support new construction, renovations, and facility upgrades.
- These services shall ensure that all buildings, sites, and facilities comply with applicable accessibility regulations and promote inclusivity for individuals of all abilities
- Services shall be performed on an “on-call” or “as-needed” basis.
- Accessibility & Universal Design Consultation
• Provide expert guidance on inclusive design principles, ensuring accessibility for individuals with diverse physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities.
• Develop design solutions that exceed minimum accessibility requirements to create user-friendly environments for all occupants.
• Assist in the selection of materials, fixtures, and features that enhance accessibility while maintaining aesthetic and functional integrity.
- Accessibility Site Surveys & Evaluations
• Conduct comprehensive field surveys to assess interior and exterior access routes, including paths of travel, ramps, and doorways, restrooms, parking areas, and building entries.
• Identify barriers to accessibility and provide corrective action and transition plans to ensure compliance with ADA, CBC, and other accessibility guidelines.
• Assess and provide recommendations for accessible signage, wayfinding, and emergency egress routes to enhance usability.
