The vendor is required to provide enterprise AI solution which enhances teaching, learning, research and administrative efficiency across western.
1. Pedagogical fit for higher education    
•    Deliver AI models that support instructional integrity and student learning. 
•    Provide features like Socratic questioning, contextual tutoring, and assignment feedback tailored for academic rigor. 
•    Ensure alignment with institutional learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
2. Data privacy and compliance    
•    adhere to FERPA, FIPPA, GDPR, and institutional data classification standards. 
•    Implement enterprise controls including encryption, user access management, and data residency assurances. 
•    Provide documentation on security audits and compliance certifications (e.g., soc 2, iso 27001).
3. Multimodal capabilities    
•    Enable interaction through text, image, code, and audio inputs. support use cases such as document summarization, stem problem solving, language translation, and accessibility. integrate seamlessly into classroom and remote learning environments.
4. Customizability (APIs, plug-ins)    
•    Offer restful APIs and plug-in architecture for integration with institutional systems. 
•    Allow for institution-branded AI assistants, domain-specific knowledge layers, and sandbox environments for custom development. 
•    Support faculty and student-led AI development through API access and documentation.
5. Ease of integration (LMS, sis, CRM)
•    Provide native or certified integrations with platforms like canvas, Moodle, Brightspace, PeopleSoft and salesforce. 
•    Enable SSO via SAML and LDAP and support provisioning through SCIM or azure ad.
