Asset Management and Strategic Consulting Services

The vendor is required to provide to support further growth and development of our corporate asset management program, to supplement the city’s current resources and add additional expertise.
- Asset management services, the city is also seeking strategic consulting services to support:
• Business strategy development
• Market analysis and benchmarking other comparable cities
• Operational improvements:
• Financial planning:
• Change management:
• Risk management
• Level of service review and improvements
- Services include: 
• Reviewing the current state of the city’s core infrastructure assets to prioritize actions to advance asset management planning in alignment with the asset management strategy and roadmap to support the city’s am core team.
• support the review of current levels of service and providing recommendations for improvements and the development of additional performance measures as required.
• assist with the further development of tools or templates to support a consistent risk framework for corporate assets.
• Support the development of communication strategies and materials to support internal and external communications with staff, council, and the public.
• Support the continued assessment of the current state of the city’s assets and asset management practices for the preparation of annual reporting.
• Update of the city’s asset management policy or strategy as required.
• Short, medium, and long-term financial planning.
• Business process improvement for corporate asset management, prioritization of capital investments, capital planning, and other business or infrastructure planning processes.
• Data and information management, including data modeling using gis and city works to support asset management and corporate reporting.
• Data and information analytics and visualization.
• Asset management training and coaching for staff and managers.
• Communications, engagement, and change management expertise.
• Developing organization-wide technology strategies for optimizing existing systems to support asset management and business improvements.
- Development of asset management planning:
• Compile the city’s current data and information on existing assets.
• Utilize engineering and operations expertise to assess the condition of assets and make recommendations of lifecycle activities required to deliver service and manage risk.
• Identify financial and human resources required to implement lifecycle activities, recognizing current funding and financial resource constraints.
• Develop clear and concise plans that meet user requirements, including informing long-term financial planning and capital planning.
