Audio or Video Upgrade for Visual and Performing Arts Center Services

The vendor is required to provide bid for a partial upgrade to the theatrical audio or video upgrade for visual and performing arts center services.
- A cinema projector with media server, PTZ cameras with controller, rf modulator, tv displays, audio digital signal processor (DSP), surround sound processor, wireless microphones, speaker amplifiers, als system, intercom and control system equipment.
1. Video equipment:
- Video projector and accessories:
a) Replace video projector with 4k cinema projector mounted on rack pedestal.
• Reconnect HD-SDI router out 1 to projector SDI input 2.
• Reconnect RGBHV router out 1 to projector HDMI input
• Provide and install ethernet connection
• Install touch panel controller to projector.
• Install extraction duct adaptor to projector
b) Dolby media server
• Install HD-SDI cable between media server to projector SDI 1 input
• Install AES 1-8 and AES 9-16 interconnect between media server to surround sound processor surround processor and projector media server
• Provide and install ethernet connection
- PTZ cameras:
• Replace (2) PTZ cameras with (3) 4k PTZ cameras mounted on overhead catwalk. mount one camera at left end, one at right end and one camera in the center of catwalk.
• Provide and install (3) HD-SDI video cables between PTZ cameras video out and audio booth video patch panel.
• Provide and install (3) new camera remote control cables between (3) PTZ cameras and the camera controller located in projection booth.
• Install (3) PTZ camera power supplies or connect cameras power via POE++ power over ethernet.
• Install (3) new HD-SDI video cables between sync generator (audio booth) and each PTZ camera ref input
- Monitors / displays:
• Replace (2) dual rack-mounted video displays with (2) 4k dual video displays install one display in stage manager rack and one display in audio booth equipment racks.
• Connect existing HD-SDI input cables.
• Replace (3) wall mounted displays in green room, men’s and woman’s dressing rooms. re-use existing wall mounts connect existing rf antenna input cable.
• Replace (1) display in theater lobb; re-use existing wall mount.
• Re-connect existing input cables.
• Replace (1) display in ticket booth display window.
• Display mounted on custom hinged door connect existing input cables.
• Replace mpeg-2 HD encoder rf modulator located in audio booth equipment rack.
•  Connect existing (2) HD-SDI input cables and QAM rf output cable.
2. Audio equipment
- Audio digital signal processor (DSP):
• Replace (2) 16x16 digital signal processors.
• Interconnect the (2) two DSP’S with XDAB and LAN connections.
• Provide and install (2) input card and (2) output cards into each DSP units.
• Connect existing input and output card audio cabling. d) reconnect (2) DSP’S rs232 connections on DSP units.
• Reconnect DSP network switch. connect LAN port from each DSP to switch.
• Connect LAN switch to LAN wall plate connection. f) install (1) new Dante network switch in audio booth.
• Connect Dante ports from (2) DSP’S, (1) audio board, (2) wireless microphone receivers.
• Connect Dante switch to IDF Dante switch wall plate connection.
• Transfer existing DSP programming to new DSP’S, update programming to include project modifications.
- Surround sound cinema processor:
• Replace (1) surround sound cinema processor. note: replace cp650 with new cp650 or cp950
• Connect existing one stereo non-sync input (no non sync 2 inputs on cp950), (6) surround sound outputs and (1) rs232 control cable.
• Install AES 1-8 and AES 9-16 interconnect cables between surround processor and projector media server
• Install (1) ethernet network cable port to wall jack
- Microphone systems:
a) Replace (2) two dual wireless receivers with (2) quad wireless receivers.
• Replace (2) two dual wireless receivers with (2) quad wireless receivers.
• Replace (1) wireless microphone antenna combiner and (2) antenna.
• Connect (1) quad wireless receiver (4) outputs to auto-mixer inputs 5-8
• Connect (1) quad wireless receiver (4) outputs to audio patch.
• Connect both wireless receivers to new switch in audio booth
b) Replace (8) channel auto-mixer:
i) Modify microphone auto-mixer channel 3 and channel 4 inputs/outputs cable path.
• Move existing fb-2 mic 36 wire# m036 to audio patch a35
• Move existing fb-3 mic 37 wire# m137 to auto-mixer input 4
• Move existing fb-3 mic38 wire# m138 to audio patch a38
• Connect existing unmodified input and output cables.
c) Shotgun microphones:
• Connect existing shotgun microphone 1 on catwalk to PTZ camera 1 audio input
• Provide and mount (1) new shotgun microphone 2 on catwalk.
• Replace microphone preamplifier in audio booth rack.
• Provide and install audio cable between shotgun microphone 2 to microphone preamplifier in audio booth
- Speaker amplifiers:
a) Replace existing (9) speaker audio amplifiers
• (1) Main 2 CH L/R Array MF/HF amplifier 1
• (1) Main 2 CH L/R Array LF amplifier 2
• (1) Main 2 CH L/R array subwoofer amplifier 3
• (1) Main Center 2 CH Array MF/HF LF amplifier 4
• (1) Cinema Mains 2 CH Left MF/HF LF amplifier 5
• (1) Cinema Mains 2 CH Center MF/HF LF amplifier 6
• (1) Cinema Mains 2 CH Right MF/HF LF amplifier 7
• (1) Surround 8 CH amplifier 8
• Atlas vol control 8 CH amplifier 9
- Assisted listening system:
• Replace existing assisted listening transmitter (ALS)
• Connect existing ALS input cable
• Replace ALS transmitter antennas and cabling with (2) IR radiators mounted on overhead catwalk
3. Control systems equipment
1) Replace control system:
A) Replace (1) Crestron control processor
I) Replace network switch and add new ethernet cabling between control processor and devices:
• Cinema projector
• (2) Rack mounted 10” touch panels
• 1) Portable tabletop 10” touch panel
• (1) RS-232 expansion converter
(ii) reconnect (3) existing rs-232 cables from control processor to equipment and program rs-232 ports use IP to rs-232 expansion converter to add (2) additional rs-232 ports.
• (1) Audio DSP
• (1) Surround sound processor
• (1) HD-SDI 16x16 matrix router
• (1) RGBHV 12x8 matrix router
• (1) BLU-RAY player
iii) Reconnect existing relay contact wiring to control processor: ac power sequencer and screen l.v.c
iv) Reconnect existing distribution block: (4) floor plates and (2) projection booth intercom plates
2) Replace (3) control touch panel
A) Program all existing touch panel menus in new touch panels
B) Make required touch panel changes to incorporate project modifications including:
I) HD video router control menu – change button labels and router control
ii) Digital projector control menu - change input selection buttons – SDI 1/ HD switcher, SDI 2, HDMI 1 RGB switcher), HDMI 2
iii) Audio touch panel control menu - update surround sound format selection buttons 3) Replace camera controller
A) Install new camera controller and wiring between (3) cameras and camera controller.
- Intercom equipment:
1) Replace hardwired and wireless intercom equipment
a) Replace (1) master intercom base stations in audio booth
• Reconnect (3) channel a connections
• Reconnect (3) channel b connections
• Reconnect (1) channel c connection (wireless intercom)
• Reconnect (1) announce out
• Reconnect (1) relay out to paging system
b) Replace (1) intercom base station stage manager stations (a/b CH)
c) Replace intercom system power supply (3) CH a and (3) CH b)
d) Replace wireless intercom base station and connect 2w cables. install and connect antennas
- Streaming video record system (new installation):
1) Install new video switcher in projector booth
• Install (7) new HD-SDI input cables between video switcher and audio booth video patch
• Install (3) new HD-SDI output cables between video switcher and audio booth video patch
• Install (1) new HD-SDI input cables between video playback/recorder and audio booth video patch
2) install new video playback/recorder
• Install (1) video playback/recorder next to video switcher
• Connect (1) video playback/recorder controller to video playback/recorder unit
• Install (1) new HD-SDI video playback/recorder input cable from audio booth video patch install
• Install (1) new HD-SDI video playback/recorder output cable to audio booth video patch install
• Install (1) ethernet network cable port to wall jack
3) Install new video playback/recorder controller
• Install (1) video playback/recorder controller
• Connect (1) remote control out 1 (9pin) to video playback/recorder 9pin remote control in (9 pin)
• Connect (1) ref in to video playback/recorder ref loop out
• Install (1) ethernet network cable port to wall jack
4) Install new streaming web presenter
• Install (1) new HD-SDI streaming web presenter input cable from audio booth video patch Install
• Install (1) new HD-SDI streaming web presenter output cable to audio booth video patch install
• Install (1) new HDMI cable between streaming web presenter monitor out to HDMI 2 input of wall
mounted multi-image display located above video switcher.
• Install (1) ethernet network cable port to wall jack
5) Install new video reference sync generator in audio booth equipment rack
• Install (1) new HD-SDI video cable between sync generator to video switcher ref in.
• Install (1) new HD-SDI video cable between sync generator to video playback/recorder ref generator
6) Install (1) new 43” video display wall mounted in projection booth
• Install new (1) HDMI cable between video switcher and multi-image wall display
