The vendor is required to provide audio visual (AV) support services in various off-site courtrooms in state communities.
- Project structure
a. Rack Build services:
• Technical personnel to inspect the work of the stage installation services contractor and ensure all AV services are fully operational as needed.
• Technical support of AV components within mobile racks, and to perform maintenance and repairs of the AV systems utilized in various off site state courtrooms, to oversee and coordinate offsite installations, maintenance, and/or the actual removal and relocation of AV systems.
• Services are described in detail in appendix b, attachment #1: rack build services.
b. Stage installation services
• Technical personnel to transport and assemble temporary AV systems prior to the start date of trials, as well as disassemble and transport the AV systems to the designated court storage facility as needed.
• Pickup equipment from either the courts or the Calgary court center, or a court designated storage location, and deliver the equipment as required to the various temporary court locations provided by the province.
• Installation and disassembly of freestanding truss mounted courtroom AV systems.
• Provide remote or onsite support of staging systems and other related issues, based on the complexity and impact of a given issue.
c. Stage installation services
• Technical personnel to transport and assemble temporary AV systems prior to the start date of trials, as well as disassemble and transport the AV systems to the designated court storage facility as needed.
• Pickup equipment from either the Edmonton law courts or the Calgary court center, or a court designated storage location, and deliver the equipment as required to the various temporary court locations provided by the province.
• Installation and disassembly of freestanding truss mounted courtroom AV systems.
• Provide remote or onsite support of staging systems and other related issues, based on the complexity and impact of a given issue.
- Include for services:
• Typically, a week or two before a scheduled court matter occurs, a stage installation contractor is notified to install pre-purchased equipment (AV equipment) which is provided by the province as a “room kit.”
• The installation typically occurs on a Thursday or Friday so the court matter can proceed the following week.
• Once the stage installation contractor has completed the AV equipment set up, the province calls out the rack build contractor to inspect and test the AV equipment installed and to make the offsite room fully useable from an AV perspective.
• Once the court matter is concluded, the province calls out the stage installation contractor to return to the location to remove the AV equipment and return it to storage or to deploy it to another offsite location, as directed by the province.
