The vendor is required to provide county for in- school branch banking for three (3) high schools.
- The financial institution shall renovate, establish, maintain, and support an in-school banking branch facility at high schools.
- Administrator’s expectations for the program
• Financial institute and credit union provides all kiosk materials (physical branch materials, resources, signage, technology, safe, and all other items deemed necessary to run the branch)
• Weekly on-site support from a credit union representative who is familiar with education
• On-call support for teacher sponsors and student workers
• Paid training for student workers and sponsors
• Financial institute and credit union provides all marketing materials and a budget to encourage student workers to develop marketing skills
• Incentives for customers to bank at the school branch, as opposed to other available branches curriculum resources provided by the banking institution
• Detailed curriculum for student-led financial institute and credit union
• Classroom resources to support the curriculum
• Curriculum that supports the standards of learning (sols) stipends for teachers (if offered)
• Incentive for teachers to support the student-led in-school banking.
• Grants for teacher conferences compensation that directly supports/rewards participation
• Scholarship opportunities for student employees & student customers
• Incentives to the students for participation hours of operations
• Daily during all school lunch blocks
a. General provisions and requirements:
• Division with the participation, on the terms provided herein, of the financial institution will establish an in-school banking branch facility at three (3) high schools.
• The financial institution must have at least one operational banking branch in city county.
• The financial institution will provide a relevant and rigorous learning environment for students
• Division will have primary responsibility for the education, guidance and supervision of division students with the cooperation and assistance of the contracted financial institution personnel in conducting training and providing experience in the operation of the in-school banking branch.
• The in-school banking branch proposed hours of operation at high schools will be Monday through Friday 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., excluding division and the in-school banking branch holidays.
• Division shall be responsible for establishing the in-school banking branch program and curriculum
the division faculty will be responsible for selecting experiences for the students from a list of selected careers in finance developed in collaboration with financial institution.
• Division shall comply with the established financial institution’s policies and practices for banking, to the extent allowed by law governing division
• The financial institution’s trademark and trade name shall remain the exclusive property of the financial institution, subject to the limited license to use the name of the financial institution as set forth herein.
• The financial institution employees shall not acquire any rights or benefits as division employees and shall be solely and exclusively compensated by the financial institution
• While participating in the in-school branch financial institution training, student activities and conducting operations in the in-school branch, both student managers and other students at division are engaged wholly in educational activities of division and shall be entitled to wages
• The training to be provided at division is career training for the benefit of the students.
• The students do not displace any financial institution employees, but they do transact financial institution functions strictly under the authority and control of the financial institution employees.
• Except as otherwise specifically provided herein, students participating in the in-school banking branch shall not acquire any rights or benefits as financial institution employees unless approved in writing by the financial institution
• The financial institution shall be solely responsible for all banking and business operations at the in-school banking branch and shall hold division harmless from any loss or liability.
