The vendor required to provide investment management and custody services for include:
- Investment and custodial services
• Investment services in accordance with the cemetery fund investment policy approved by the commission.
• The capability of providing active investment management by holding and managing investments in individual income producing securities such as stocks, bonds, ETFS, REITS, etc.
• Provides passive management of client funds and whether it could use such a passive approach while meeting the fund’s requirement that securities be income-producing.
• Investment services in compliance with all city, federal, and state of laws.
• Action on behalf of the commission in response to any pending and active corporate actions regarding subscriptions, conversion privileges, issuance of rights, mergers, reorganizations, and other actions requiring a decision by the city and applicable legislative actions.
• Custody services for the portfolio which shall include, but not be limited to:
o Custodial services,
o Trade settlement,
o Performance measurement,
o Compliance reporting,
o Proxy voting, and
o Maintaining a comprehensive database accounting system to account for and report the transactions associated with the entire cemetery fund portfolio.
