The Vendor is required to provide a qualified 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization to manage, on its behalf, the City’s Special Revenue Fund for the Promotion of Arts, Culture, and Tourism (the “fund”).
- Objectives:
• Catalyze and accelerate the positive economic and quality of life impact of arts and culture
• Increase the breadth and depth of private sector creative enterprises throughout the city
• Augment the city fund with additional private resources
• Oversee the development of a cultural plan in coordination with the city
• Be the coordinating entity for the city’s various cultural activities, programs, and initiatives, including the seaport cultural district
• Be the city’s liaison to and advocate for city cultural community
• Be the city’s point of contact and coordinator for public art
- Operating Policies
• Budget: the fund manager must submit a detailed annual budget proposal to the city for review and approval by the chief financial officer and city’s office of tourism and marketing.
• Expertise: the fund manager will communicate and coordinate with the city regarding the selection of individuals who will participate in fund management.
• Insurance: the fund manager shall provide evidence of general liability and worker’s compensation insurance. Amount of insurance to be mutually agreed between city and fund manager. City shall be named as additionally insured on all polices.
• Reporting: the fund manager shall provide, on a semi-annual basis, a financial report for the Fund.
