Investment Management Services

The Vendor is required to provide investment manager will include but not limited to the following:
• Manage on a daily basis the city’s separate investment portfolio pursuant to the specific stated investment objectives.
• Serve as a general resource to the city staff for information, advice, and training regarding fixed income securities, investments, and treasury operations.
• Work with city staff to develop cash flow projections to ensure that the investment strategy is consistent with the city's cash requirements and provide recommendations for change.
• Ensure that all transactions are in compliance with the city's investment policy.
• Provide trade tickets for all transactions
• Provide monthly statements on investment activity, earnings, and the value of the investment portfolio.
• These reports must include a market valuation as required by GASB 31 and 40.
• Provide credit analysis of investment instruments in portfolio
• Provide quarterly and annual reports, including a description of market conditions, investment strategies employed, performance, and suggested changes to investment strategy.
• The performance numbers shall be presented as required by the institute.
• Provide an annual cash flow analysis
• Furnish the city with statistical information and reports with respect to investments of the managed funds on an as needed basis.
• Make presentations to city's investment committee, city staff, and city council, quarterly and as required in investment policy.
• Perform due diligence reviews of current and proposed broker and dealers.
• Assist in risk control to ensure the ongoing safety of the city's assets not related to market risk.
• Assist in the process of evaluating custodial services and servicing the portfolio's ongoing security safekeeping needs.
• Provide city employees with eight (8) hours of continuing professional education (CPE) investment training at no cost to the city.
