The Vendor is required to provide professional security guard services for two locations in county.
- Guards who are being relieved by other guards must not leave until their relief arrives.
- Guards must immediately inform their firm and agency of late arrivals to allow for coverage as soon as is feasible.
- Guards who are closing the transit centers shall not leave the post until the last in-service bus has departed to allow customers a safe place to wait for a late arriving bus.
- Guards must be familiar with the buildings and grounds.
- Guards shall patrol both the interior and exterior public and staff-only areas, including all waiting areas, parking areas, driveways, and grounds.
- Guards shall observe all rules and regulations regarding agency restricted areas.
- Guards must be familiar with and observe the agency rider and visitor rules and policies and the agency onsite security manual.
- Guards must be courteous and helpful at all times to agency staff and agency visitors and customers.
- Guards must maintain sign-in/out register of all non-agency employees to the agency facilities in accordance with instructions from agency ; the register shall indicate date and time of entrance, name and signature of entrant, date and time of exit, and signature of guard.
- Guards must provide the contractor’s field supervisor and agency project manager with a written daily security report with details of shift start times, end times, any security breaches, safety hazards, rule and policy violations, or unusual situations encountered during the tour of duty on agency property.
- Guards must dress in complete uniform, including name badge, as prescribed by state law and agency policy while on duty on agency property; see section regarding uniforms and equipment.
- Guards must have basic training on the use of fire suppression equipment, including fire extinguishers.
- Guards must have training in extreme inclement weather procedures and power outage procedures.
- Medical Emergencies: Initial assessment, first aid/CPR procedures, emergency services coordination, and documentation requirements.
- Security Incidents: Threat assessment, de-escalation protocols, law enforcement coordination, active shooter situations, and evacuation procedures.
- Fire/Environmental: Fire response, evacuation coordination, emergency services liaison, and system shutdown protocols.
- Natural Disasters: Severe weather procedures, shelter-in-place protocols, emergency communication, and recovery procedures.
- Communication protocols shall include an internal chain of command, notification procedures, information flow, and documentation requirements.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
