The vendor is required to provide security services for include:
- The facility requiring security is as follows:
• Square footage of location: 52,000
• Number of floors: one
• Number of staff: between 40 and 70
• Number of residents: up to 53
• Estimated daily number of customers: ten
- Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Patrolling the entire facility to provide a visible presence to discourage vandalism or unauthorized entry and to monitor parking violations.
• Making scheduled rounds of buildings, grounds and appurtenances of the agency facility
o Stopping at each of the designated landmarks/locations per post orders.
o Ensuring that fences, gates, doors and windows are properly closed and/or locked or otherwise properly secured.
o Investigating unusual or suspicious conditions.
o Ensuring that the lighting is operational
o Inspecting parking areas.
o Checking mission-critical data center/ generator room/pump room to ensure no leaks or foreign objects are present.
o Providing additional monitoring per post orders.
• Providing coverage of the assigned post at all times throughout the duration of the shift.
• Enforcing related security rules and regulations of the facility.
• Supervising and controlling access to agency facilities as instructed.
o Admitting only authorized personnel to the facility during and after normal working hours.
o Checking and logging identification of anyone who enters the premises during and after normal working hours; providing visitor badges as needed.
o Preventing trespass on, damage to, or theft of the agency property.
• Responding to calls and emergencies and reporting any issues promptly.
• Promptly activating emergency codes when necessary.
• Always wearing the company-approved uniform, complete with appropriate identification and required communications equipment. uniforms shall be in respectable condition, fitted properly, cleaned, pressed, and present a professional appearance.
• Immediately contact the appropriate agency representative, police and another emergency
response personnel as required in the event of an emergency and unlawful activity.
• Interfacing immediately with any law enforcement agency responding to agency.
• Reporting any actions taken by the security guard regarding any ordinance and rule enforcement, or emergency to the designated agency staff.
• Monitoring alarm systems and intervening as instructed.
• Escorting individuals to or from their automobiles in darkness (early morning, evening or night).
• Enforcing the “no smoking" ordinance except for designated areas.
• Providing traffic-control duties as assigned by designated agency representative(s).
• Reporting any unsafe or dangerous condition or circumstance to the designated agency representative(s).
• Operating and monitoring telephones, transmitter and receiver radios, cameras, virtual fence system, and an automated security system
equipment.
• Produce daily reports and may be required to conduct routine and ad-hoc risk/threat assessments, following which a report shall be produced.
• Responding to related requests by designated agency representative(s).
• Conducting security-related risk assessments and recommending mitigating strategies.
