The Vendor is required to provide an intuitive turnkey bus video system that will allow access to bus video reliably to include onboard DVRS and cameras.
- Services include:
• System must be capable of monitoring all district vehicles that transports students.
• Currently 162 units
• There must be ability to view live footage on the bus while the bus is in transit
• There must be the ability to change the time that the cameras function after the bus is turned off to allow up to 24 hours of footage while the bus is at rest
• System must support a 30-day retention period of all recorded footage with each school day consisting of approximately 7 hours of footage per bus
• Must be able to install a minimum of 8 cameras per vehicle, including forward-facing camera mounted top center of the windshield, stop arm, door camera, and additional interior or exterior cameras positioned to minimize blind spots and ensure clear, unobstructed views
• Cameras using AI should be able to be installed in connection with the bus arm in order to read license plate numbers.
• Provide bus location information tied to bus video using existing Geotab GPS or integrated GPS with other installed vendor supplied components.
• No separate secondary GPS should be needed
• Ability to access video via a browser interface is preferred so that a thick client is not needed
• Ability to extract video to be able to be provided to law enforcement or other approved recipients in a format that is easily viewable to the end user
• Ability to maintain a chain of custody of video footage
• Ability to view video footage from outside the district 12 network
• Provide training and documentation on how to install new cameras and other system components to our district 12 staff
• Drivers to be able to flag video for immediate download while in transit
• Notifications to be sent to office personnel to alert them of events that got flagged on the bus
• Ability to use single sign on with the district’s active directory system for user authentication - SAML preferred
• Diagnostic capabilities to monitor health of cameras, and all other system components
• Ability to collect audio along with video
• Ability to record quality video at night/in the dark
• System hardware components must be under warranty for a minimum of 3 years
• System access must be role-based, such that users can be given particular access to devices based on role the user performs
• Mobile access is desirable to access video footage and control aspects of the system from iOS and android devices
• For on premise systems, must fit into our VMware environment
• Ability to monitor the loading zone outside of the bus is desired.
