The Vendor is required to provide for campus security, event security, event parking, and guest relations services.
- Service divided into three categories:
1. Campus Security Services
2. Event Security and Guest Relations Services
3. Event Parking Services
- General Coverage and Staffing
• The contractor shall furnish campus security guards for each shift at designated locations, providing coverage up to 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
• Guards must report for duty on time to relieve previous shifts.
• No post shall be left unattended.
• If relief is delayed, guards must notify a supervisor and remain on duty until relieved.
• Guards must pass on all pertinent information to incoming personnel before ending their shift.
• Guards must wear uniforms that clearly identify them by name and role in accordance with the city requirements found here.
• While on duty, applicable employees must display their county security guard license at all times, per the municipal code.
• Noncompliance may result in citations, removal, and vendor disqualification.
- Patrols and Access Control
• Conduct randomized walking and/or driving patrols of premises to avoid predictable patterns.
• Patrol authority parking areas, working closely with parking contractors to ensure safety.
• Guard authority property against fire, theft, pilferage, destruction, and vandalism.
• Permit entry only to authorized individuals in restricted areas.
• Conduct and log specified activity or interval checks of:
1. Facility doors and entryways
2. Hallways and stairwells
3. Key-controlled elevators
- Emergency Response and Safety
• Render basic first aid, including CPR and AED, as trained.
• Report fire safety violations and hazards.
• Establish clear protocols for emergencies, criminal activity, medical incidents, and evacuations.
• Observe and report suspicious circumstances, individuals, or vehicles.
• Respond to and investigate suspicious activities and threats.
• Check on employee safety in a professional and non-intrusive manner.
• Operate radios, intercoms, and communications systems as needed.
- Reporting and Communication
• Provide timely and comprehensive incident reporting, to include live updates when needed.
• Report all incidents and urgent issues to the Campus Security and Parking Manager or their designee.
1. Provide both verbal and written reports as required.
2. Carry pen and paper at all times for immediate documentation.
• Record and report:
1. Suspicious persons, vehicles, and license plates
2. Safety hazards or maintenance issues (e.g., lights out, leaks)
3. Significant events and all shift activities for the Daily Activity Log.
