The vendor is required to provide to ensure that each item of system equipment is tested for power-up, general functionality and to diagnose any potential deficiencies or concerns prior to the installation of the unit.
- The results of each commissioning test will be recorded on the supplied commissioning test schedule or in a Microsoft excel spreadsheet
- Each test will be marked as a pass or fail with any comments regarding deviations from specifications or abnormal operation noted for contractor follow-up - responsible for resolution of any items identified during the final commissioning process
- Ensure that sufficient personnel are available to conduct final commissioning tests on-site.
- Additional personnel are to be made available as necessary to ensure testing may continue while deficiencies are being resolved.
- Card access control system
• Verify exterior door bell, camera, intercom, interior video monitoring and communications function accordingly.
• Verify remote door release functions with new electric strike, existing electric strike, or existing electric lockset.
• Verify existing automatic operator (if present on door) functions with remote door release.
• Verify that the door secures (locks) within the appropriate time frame once used.
• Verify that any existing access control hardware such as local alarms functions correctly with installation of new access control hardware.
- Confirm placement of all equipment with consultant prior to installation.
- Prior to installation, ensure that the new doors are properly installed and aligned to facilitate the seamless reinstallation of door access control devices.
- Verify the functionality and compatibility of all door access control devices to be reinstalled with the new doors.
- Ensure that all components are in working condition and meet the project requirements.
- Identify and mark the precise locations on the new doors where each door access control device is to be mounted.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and project specifications for proper placement.
- Connect and route wiring for the door access control devices according to approved wiring diagrams and industry standards.
- Ensure that all connections are secure and properly insulated.
- Conduct integration testing after installation to verify the proper functioning of each door access control device.
- Test access control permissions, door locking/unlocking mechanisms, and any associated sensors or alarms.
- Make any necessary adjustments or calibration to ensure optimal performance of the door access control devices.
- This may include fine-tuning access control settings, sensor sensitivity, and door closure mechanisms.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
