Transit Bus Rooftop Access Support Platform

The Vendor is required to provide to be an itemization of the major functional and requirements pertinent to a bus rooftop access platform.
- They are not intended to be a design document or an all-inclusive list of parts and functions of a bus rooftop access platform.
- The bus rooftop access support platform shall:
• Have a minimum measurement of 240” deep x 38” wide and 110” height.
• Be of a heavy duty all-welded construction.
• Provide a safe enclosed work area for transit bus roof top access and maintenance.
• Be portable and easily moved by two people.
• Provide rooftop access from both sides of the bus.
• Have lockable spring actuated swing gates to enclose the work area when in use.
• Have a minimum handrail height of 42”.
• Be customizable for bus height, length and platform depths.
• Have heavy duty casters with latching foot brakes.
• Have adjustable outriggers for stability and adjustment on uneven floors.
• Have left and right side ladders for bus rooftop access.
• Have ladders with diamond channel grating treads.
• Have rubber pads to rest against the bus to avoid any potential damage.
• Have two (2) foldable tool trays 24” wide x 20” deep with a 2” high border located around the perimeter with a minimum weight rating of 50lbs each. 
• One tool tray will be located on each platform.
• Have a 30”x30” lift cargo shelf rated at 300 LB capacity.
• Be powder coated safety yellow.
• Have all ladders clearly labelled with safety instructions and warning plates.
• Have two (2) prewired 2 plug receptacles, one installed on each platform.
• Have two (2) 15lb fire extinguishers, one located on each platform.
