The vendor is required to provide to install 6 already acquired Wyssen ls-12 remote avalanche control system (RACS) towers on Denny and granite mountains above i-90 Snoqualmie pass.
• Must be able to perform avalanche mitigation from a location in or near the starting zone.
• Be remotely operated by cellular with a radio backup
• Have sufficient solar panels and battery capacity for low-light conditions
• Ability to shed heavy snow build up
• Remotely deploy a large high explosive charge 5kg or greater with two igniter system
• Deploy 5kg explosive charge at a minimum distance of 1.5m above the snowpack surface as an air blast detonation
• Must be able to deploy a minimum of 12 explosives charges before resupply
• Remote unit must confirm explosive detonation
• Meet ATF/WA state L&I requirements for secure storage of explosives or have variance from ATF/WA St L&I
• RAC must be deployable and retrievable by a helicopter at 7,000’ ft. individual units cannot weigh more than 1200 lbs. fully loaded.

• Explosive effect on the snowpack must be 360 degrees.
