The Vendor is required to provide to design, supply, install, and configure a video surveillance system (similar to or equal) to axis communications technology.
- These systems need to ensure optimal coverage, high-resolution imaging, high reliability, performance and scalability for three (3) separate city departments which consists of city hall, airport and public works.
- Design & coverage
• Invited for an on-site survey/assessment to propose optimal camera placement; a preliminary map of suggested camera locations.
• Design must cover all critical areas, including entry/exit points, parking lots, high-traffic corridors, and sensitive zones.
- Camera quality
• All cameras must be (similar to or equal) to the latest generation axis communications camera models.
• Cameras must offer high-resolution imaging, with a minimum of 8 MP (megapixels); higher resolutions are preferred for critical or high-traffic areas.
• Cameras must support low-light and/or night vision capabilities.
- Data cabling & camera mounting
• Supply and install cat6 plenum-rated cabling (yellow) to each camera location.
• Supply and install patch panels and patch cables (yellow) at each department’s MDF/IDF data racks
• Include and install all necessary camera mounting accessories (junction boxes, wall/ceiling brackets, weatherproof enclosures, and hardware) appropriate to the installation environment.
• Ensure clean and accessible cable management with labeling.
- Network/power requirements
• Conduct a site survey, recommend, and install a secure wireless technology solution to connect exterior IP cameras at the airport department.
• Supply and mount POE+ managed network switches in each of the three (3) department MDFS/IDFS data racks, with sufficient ports and power to support all IP cameras and allow for future expansion.
• Contractor shall assess and propose any necessary modifications or additions to the existing solar power panel setup at the airport department.
- Video storage
• Contractor shall provide and install a video management system (VMS) (similar or equal) to axis communications VMS for the airport and public works departments.
• All VMS systems must be configured for 30-day video retention at full resolution.
• City hall utilizes an existing VMS - axis s1296 server.
- Installer & integration requirements
• All installation and configuration must be performed by certified/state licensed video surveillance professionals.
• Installers must demonstrate relevant experience with similar commercial-scale surveillance systems.
- System testing
• Complete system testing is required before final acceptance, including:
1. Camera connectivity and feed verification
2. Storage and playback testing
3. Remote viewing functionality check
- Warranty & support
• All equipment must include a minimum 1-year manufacturer warranty.
• Must provide 1-year post-installation support, including troubleshooting and replacement of defective cameras.
- Budget:
• City hall proposal not-to-exceed $30,000
• Airport proposal not-to-exceed $50,000
• Public works proposal not-to-exceed $15,000.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
