Campus Safety and Security Services

The Vendor is required to provide comprehensive security services on the campuses of two (2) state agencies.
- Both organizations are 24 hours facilities that serve the K-12 population of students with special needs with residential student dormitories and apartments on location.
- Responsible for ensuring that each assigned campus is safe and secure for students, faculty, staff and visitors.
- Campus location, will need to acquire American Sign Language (ASL) communication proficiency as defined by department within three (3) years of their initial assignment, in order to effectively interact with staff, students and members of the Deaf community.
- Provide security services for all common areas and outdoor spaces of the school campus. 
- The services will include but not limited to:
•    Shall be dressed in traditional security uniforms that are similar to law enforcement uniforms
•    Shall be unarmed and may not carry any weapons including but not limited to: firearms, chemical sprays, batons, knives, knuckles, or stun guns
•    Shall not enter student occupied classrooms or residential areas without being accompanied by at least one (1) school employee, and for a specific safety or security purpose. 
•    All instances of entry must be clearly reported in shift log stating location, purpose, duration and name of accompanying school employee
•    Work alongside other school personnel and police school resource officer, assist school security personnel and/or fill-in during absences or heightened levels of need (sick/vacation/special event).
•    Provide the full eight (8) hours of coverage scheduled
•    Access control, greeting and visitor management
•    Surveillance system monitoring
•    Security patrol and response to security incidents. Security guards shall make a minimum of two (2) campus/building tours per shift, no closer than four (4) hours apart
•    Emergency response and evacuation procedures
•    Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary
•    Check-in with key personnel during each shift, in-person and via text/phone/radio
•    Maintain and report shift log
•    Shall use mobile communication equipment provided by organizations.
