The vendor is required to provide security services to the college.
- Security manpower guard services, supervision of guard team, and oversight of daily operations for security, incident and daily documentation of events.
- Working with the manager of emergency & business services for planning and development of campus security services.
- Implementation strategy, testing and quality assurance documentation, training materials, comprehensive documentation package, compliance and regulatory documentation, reporting and monitoring tools, transition plan, financial documentation, change management plan
- The current security operations model has one security guard at the security desk at all times to act as dispatch and to monitor alarm systems.
- Operate in a safe, diligent professional and honest manner, in alignment with the college values, policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all activities are well planned, communicated and effectively carried out.
- Interact with all college stakeholders (students, staff, visitors, contractors, agents and the public) in a courteous and professional manner.
- Provide and maintain a comprehensive recruitment and training program that includes, but is not limited to, safety, customer service excellence, health and wellness and inclusivity values.
- Continually adapt to the hours of operation and service needs of the college including provisions to adjust hours of operations for planned special events and planned after-hours maintenance/renovation activity.
- Provide assistance, directions, answer questions and otherwise serve as a central or visible source of information for students, employees, customers, visitors, and agents of the college.
- Be able to perform basic computer skills using word, excel, and outlook.
- Be able to adequately learn and operate college computer applications such as the CCTV systems as required.
- Monitor, operate and or respond to building systems.
- Building systems will include, but not be limited to, intrusion alarm, door access control, fire alarm monitoring, video management (CCTV), and the mitel (911 call-out monitoring) in accordance to with college procedures.
- Provide access control by unlocking/locking campus buildings, unlocking rooms and provide room access as required, monitor access to mechanical and electrical rooms, computer server rooms, instructional spaces and office areas.
- Sign out keys to contract personnel as required.
- Test and monitor emergency help phones, fire phones, and panic buttons on campus.
- Monitor the singhmar centre for learning county entrance and respond to calls for assistance as required to ensure the orderly and safe flow of vehicles entering/exiting the facility.
