The vendor required to provide security glass replacement, installation, and facility hardening upgrades at county facilities.
- Security glass and facility hardening services (T&M)
• Work may include removal and replacement of existing glass; installation of laminated, polycarbonate, mirrored, tempered, insulated, tinted, or ballistic glazing; installation of ballistic Kevlar panels; and related upgrades such as frames, caulking, fasteners, and other facility hardening and improvement projects.
• Any work performed under this contract shall be turn-key, inclusive of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and disposal required for removal of existing glass or materials, supply of new products, and installation.
• All products shall be new, unused, free of defects, face imperfections, and edge damage.
• All glazing should meet or exceed the requirements of ASTM, ANSI, and UL standards listed.
• Proper edge clearance per manufacturer’s recommendation shall be the responsibility of the contractor.
• Responsible for confirming all measurements, ordering correct sizes, and ensuring proper fit.
• Any pieces that are special order must be cut accurately to verified field measurements.
• The contractor shall dispose of all old materials and debris from the job site and shall leave the work area clean and free of hazards at the end of each workday.
• Projects or related systems not covered by items listed in this contract may be quoted separately using the same format and must be approved in writing.
• Lump sum quotes will not be accepted.
• Work shall be performed in accordance with best industry practices, applicable codes, and the requirements outlined in this solicitation.
