The vendor is required to provide custodial services are contracted by the purchasing agent with oversight provided by the department of public works.
- Service calls are considered standard service requirements, such as nonrecurring requests for special events support, spills, replenishing restroom supplies, etc.
- Cleaning schedule shall, as a minimum, identify the following frequency: -daily cleaning -periodic cleaning -weekly cleaning - monthly cleaning -other frequencies.
- Service calls shall be monitored and satisfactorily responded to in a timely manner.
- Method of recording customer calls, the time to complete the service call, and the corrective action taken.
- These records shall be made available for review by the department of public works.
- Cleaning hours: the performance of the standard service cleaning at building(s) shall not take place between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., except as noted.
- Porter services are defined as providing in addition to standard cleaning:
• Focus on keeping common areas, restrooms, and high-traffic areas clean and tidy.
• Promptly handle spills, clean up trash, and address other messes that arise.
• Ensure restrooms are well-stocked with supplies like toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks like cleaning windows, dusting and vacuuming.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down events.
• Ensure lobbies and entrances are clean and presentable for visitors.
• Maintain common areas like kitchens, cafeterias and patios.
• Empty trash bins and recycling containers. - The Public Safety Complex is open 365 days a year 24 hours a day.
- Daily cleaning shall happen after 4:00 P.M. On the weekends, that building only will need the restrooms cleaned.
- The custodian must stay until the night meeting has ended and the building is cleared.
- Use innovation, technology and other means and methods to develop and perform the most efficient cleaning services for the buildings.
- Implement an effective service call system that results in prompt, professional, and courteous resolution of town concerns.
- Provide training for their employees that stress stewardship in cleaning practices i.e., the use, disposal and recycling of cleaning chemicals; and dispensing equipment and packaging.
