Central Business District Collection Services

The Vendor is required to provide services which include daily collection, transporting, processing, and disposal of trash, recycling, compost, and daily litter cleanups within the district.
- Provide a comprehensive list of all litigation, including any pending or resolved cases, involving the Contractor and any governmental entity within the state
- Complete solution for providing all Containers, equipment, vehicles, personnel, labor, materials, and all resources required to complete daily collections, transportation, disposal services for solid waste, recycling, compost, daily litter cleanups, and process all materials, volumes, and quantities, including liquids, collectively
- Responsible for visiting and examining the types of businesses and types of refuse, recycling, compostables, and discarded materials that may end up in the Containers and surrounding areas.
- The Contractor shall empty garbage/waste/rubbish/refuse/trash containers daily Monday through Sunday, between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
- Collections are not required on the following days: Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
- Ensuring that all Containers are properly secured, and lock bars are engaged after each Collection Service.
- Removing all garbage, compost, recyclables, and litter as scheduled from the Service Area, regardless of how it was placed there (including inside, outside, under, or behind the Container). Cleaning should occur from wall to wall and end to end within the alley.
- Provide Collection Services for any and all waste that has been deposited or discarded into a Container including, but not limited to normal household waste, refuse, including liquid, semi-solid, gaseous materials, all kinds of food, waste, plastics and cooking oil, and animal carcasses, improper materials or hazardous waste materials.
- Soiled paper products including but not limited to soiled paper/soiled food products, soiled paper cups, soiled paper plates/paper towels, paper, non-foam egg cartons, napkins, tissue papers, cardboard food boxes, empty and/or used pizza boxes, empty and/or used paper food containers, wet and waxed cardboard, and waxed paper;
- Yard waste and leaves including but not limited to grass, lawn and garden clippings, small trees/bushes and branches, pinecones, shrub/bush trimmings, brush, yard/garden paper and cardboard products, flowers, plants, and soil;
- All unpackaged food waste including but not limited to all food scraps, nuts and shells, corn cobs, coffee and tea bags/grounds/leaves and filters, eggs and eggshells, breads and bakery products, cheese and dairy products, all edible grocery items, and frozen foods;
- Temporary Collection Services may occur during non-regular business hours and weekends.
