The Vendor is required to provide the collection of delinquent taxes, licensed to practice in the state, and with adequate personnel and data processing capacity to process and collect the district's delinquent tax accounts.
- Tax Collection attorneys will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
• Preparing delinquent tax reports and updates based on data provided by the county tax office.
• Providing notices to delinquent taxpayers by letter and telephone, of current and prior year delinquencies, as may be required by law and/or as may be advisable for the purpose of expediting collections.
• Filing lawsuits against delinquent taxpayers to foreclose tax liens and otherwise facilitate collection of delinquent taxes.
• Advising the district on legal issues that arise in the process of delinquent tax collections; including proposed and/or new legislation for current and delinquent tax collections.
• Providing such additional services as district officials, tax assessor/collector, or tax collection attorneys may deem advisable to expedite and enhance the collection of delinquent taxes.
