Printing Services

The vendor is required to provide yearly printing services for language immersion workbooks.
• Pre-press:
• Review of electronic files provided by the district to ensure they meet printing specifications.
• Pre-flighting of files to identify and resolve any potential printing issues (e.g., missing fonts, low-resolution images).
• Proofing: providing digital proofs (and potentially physical proofs, as specified) for review and approval by the district prior to printing. 
• The vendor must be capable of making revisions and providing revised proofs in a timely manner.
• Color management: ensuring accurate and consistent color reproduction throughout the
entire print run.
• Printing:
• Printing of workbooks in specified quantities, dimensions, and paper stock.
• Utilizing printing processes (e.g., offset, digital) that ensure high-quality output, clarity, and durability.
• Maintaining consistent print quality throughout the entire print run.
• Binding:
• Binding of workbooks according to specifications.
• Ensuring the binding is secure, professional, and allows for ease of use.
• Finishing:
• Trimming, folding, and any other necessary finishing processes.
• Application of any specified coatings
• Packaging and delivery:
• Packaging of finished workbooks in a manner that protects them from damage during shipping and handling.
• Delivery of the printed workbooks to various schools within the district no later than July 30th, of the required school year, unless otherwise rescheduled by the district.
• Providing accurate and timely tracking information for all shipments.
• Inventory management:
• The vendor should specify their capability to handle potential inventory and fulfillment needs, including storage and on-demand delivery, if required. this should include costs associated with storage.

1. German (grades 3-5):
• Furnish and deliver German immersion workbooks on a yearly basis per specifications listed herein. 
• Approximately 492 workbooks and 113,804 total pages to be printed.
• 8.5 x 11 sheets of regular copy paper thickness
• Paper color: white
• Each book needs to be coil bound with a protective cover. for example: plastic front cover with a thicker grade of paper for the 1st page and a durable black back cover.
• Printing – front and back
• Non-bleed
2. Mandarin Chinese (grades k-5):
• Furnish and deliver mandarin Chinese immersion workbooks on a yearly basis per specifications listed herein. 
• Approximately 1,410 workbooks and 279,451 total pages to be printed.
• 8.5 x 11 sheets of regular copy paper thickness
• Paper color: white
• Each book needs to be coil bound with a protective cover. for example: plastic front cover with a thicker grade of paper for the 1st page and a durable black back cover.
• Printing – front and back
• Non-bleed
3. French (grades k-5) and:
• Furnish and deliver French workbooks on a yearly basis per specifications listed herein. 
• Approximate but not limited to, 1,584 workbooks and 318,627 total pages to be printed.
• 8.5 x 11 sheets of regular copy paper thickness
• Paper color: white
• loose-leaf (not-bound)
• 3-hole punched
• Printing – front and back
• Non-bleed.
