The vendor is required to provide for the sustainability education center in topics relevant to the environmental sector and utility industry, including renewable energy, energy and water conservation, and utility careers.
- The curriculum and activities must be geared towards elementary school students.
- The curriculum and educational activities should build upon the environmental learning themes and exhibits designed for the facility’s exhibit space.
- Project discovery scope understanding goals: now and in the future.
b. Understanding and meeting agency timelines and deliverable due dates as part of the facility launch schedule.
c. Understanding core learning objectives and educational themes relevant to the utility industry.
d. Understanding and recommending field trip logistics.
e. Building upon the facility exhibits designs.
f. Delivering discovery phase documents that demonstrate project understanding and progress, such as a curriculum framework.
g. Documenting revisions if goals and vision were not achieved.
h. Defining the number of lesson plans and activities that can be developed in 60-90 days to launch at the facility by fall of 2025.
i. At the direction of agency develops educational activities that can be incorporated with new technologies, such as tablets, smart boards, and monitor screens.
j. Develop a tracking and invoicing system that aligns with agency needs; submit invoices in both pdf and excel files, track and submit monthly and year-to-date costs and deliverables.
- Educational curriculum delivery
a. Curriculum content to include photos, engaging games that enhance learning objectives, videos, written content, and similar creative elements.
b. Recommendations to procure certain types of educational materials, supplies, and items that are complementary for the educational activities.
c. Final delivery of curriculums and lesson plans that meet the objective of the sustainability education center for 4th - 6th grade students.
d. Curriculum to align with next generation science standards (NGSS) for the appropriate grade level(s).
e. The finalized lesson plan should include the name of the lesson, aligned standards, materials, length of time for set up and lesson, career connection, step-by-step instructions, and resources for the facilitator.
f. Script development for the exhibit hall, at the request of agency.
g. At the direction of agency, develop curriculum for junior and high school students.
