The Vendor is required to provide education consultants to expertise on education-related issues on an as-needed basis.
- Student coaching and parental support designed to increase student achievement, as well as rigorous professional development to enhance the instructional capacity within the district’s k-12 schools.
- Requirement:
1. School improvement planning
• Planning and implementing research-based strategies for school improvement
• Leadership coaching for school administration and leadership teams
• Build a strong school culture
• Effective data-driven instruction
• High effective size instructional strategies to impact achievement
2. Steam instructional strategies
• Incorporating hands-on learning into reading and writing through steam
• Aligning instruction, assessment and intervention to standards through steam integration
• Using design challenges to infuse steam learning into the classroom
3. K-5 writing instructional strategies
• Coaching by an author in residence
• Research-based writing program that aligns with state standards
• Modeling effective writing lessons
• Creating opportunities for students to publish the books they create
4. Student engagement
• Cooperative learning strategies
• Step by step strategies to increase student engagement
• Specific in the moment feedback to teachers on student engagement and implementation of cooperative learning
• Positive social skill development with students
5. Parent engagement
• Creating a resource center for parents to access academic support
• Conducting monthly parent workshops to promote interventions and strategies to reinforce foundational skills at home
• Coordinating meetings with families to address absenteeism
• Providing recommendations for community-based services to families
• Identifying and developing strategies to increase parent participation in educational matters
• Compiling materials and creating files for documentation of compliance with title i parent involvement components
6. Student coaching
• Serving as a skill building coach for k-5 students with learning challenges
• Addressing the need to reduce behavior referrals.
