The vendor is required to provide that environmental consultant services for the provision of environmental review, monitoring and hazardous materials abatement services for small projects throughout the division.
- Proponent to provide environmental site assessments and report for various schools as needed.
- The proponent is responsible for reviewing lab analysis for various types of hazardous material samples such as but not limited to:
a. Bulk samples
b. Liquid samples
c. Mixed waste samples
d. Air samples
- Review of hazardous building material surveys (HBMS).
- Air monitoring and daily reporting during the abatement
- Preparation of specifications for removal of hazardous materials.
- Preparation and submission of post abatement report.
- Providing risk management and remediation plan as per each project scope.
- Accreditations and certifications might include:
a. Occupational health & safety (ohs) certification
b. Certificate of recognition (COR)
c. one (1) CIH or ROH certificate of the named environmental scientist or field technologist / technician.
- The successful proponent will be expected to provide:
• On-site inspection, evaluation, and quantification of suspect asbestos-containing material (ACM) samples to be initiated within one week of receiving work order from division.
• The successful proponent will also be required to perform project monitoring during abatement of sites should this service occur.
• Be in compliance with the province of state regulations and codes; and worker required approved training with documentation.
• All data and records indicating all findings, include a general property description, sample results, location and quantity of hazardous material, lab results, inspection /lab certification, all within three weeks of receiving a work order or as stipulated in the work order from division.
• Awarded proponent(s) will be responsible to obtain any permits required to complete the project.
• Any disbursements, such as permit applications, etc., will be invoiced at cost plus the 5% g.s.t, excludes travel, fuel and mileage costs.
• The proponent is encouraged to request and receive from division any information that in the proponent’s opinion may be necessary to enable efficient project completion.
