Inspection of Fire Suppression Systems

The vendor is required to provide from qualified vendors to supply all materials, labor, and equipment for the performance of inspections of pre-engineered fire suppression systems, engineered fire suppression systems, and backflows.
- General requirements and technical specifications:
• Facilities management division will coordinate with the vendor for locations and schedule any needed appointments for service/inspections of the fire suppression systems.
• All inspections, certifications, and other services shall comply with NFPA standards unless more stringent requirements are specified herein.
• Vendor shall perform quarterly visual inspections and certifications of fire suppression systems to include fire pumps and fire backflows.
• Provide a report to the facilities management division upon completion of inspection and repairs for each site location with each suppression system listed, its type and size, specific location, serial number and service performed
• Further, the vendor shall invoice all non-covered repairs separately from the covered inspections and certifications, but still individually by site, listing all of the above information.
• The county may, on certain occasions, approve work outside of these times.
• The vendor agrees that the supplies and services furnished under this award shall be covered by the most favorable commercial warranties the vendor gives to any customer for comparable quantities of such supplies or services and that the rights and remedies provided herein are in addition to and do not limit any rights afforded to the county by any other provision of this award.
• Such exception(s) must be approved in writing by the county at least one day in advance. services will not be permitted when operations would cause a safety hazard.
• The county reserves the right to increase or decrease estimated quantities as required.
