• The course shall be delivered in 4 blocks of 30 days each, to be determined by city fire rescue.

• Laws, rules, and regulations regarding safety officers
• Response to incidents involving hazardous materials
• Response to wildland fires
- Course outcomes
• The course must count toward state incident safety officer certification, as well as toward receiving a state safety officer certificate of competency.
• At completion of the course, the student should be able to understand and describe the role of the safety officer during various incidents, assess and analyze risk, and apply related codes, regulations, laws, standards, and procedures to iso duties.
