The Vendor is required to provide real time electronic passenger information display solutions.
- Goals of improving the customer experience, enhancing accessibility, and contributing to the development of any subsequent procurement documents to acquire real-time passenger information displays, primarily for outdoor use mounted inside bus shelters, but in other instances a display may be surface-mounted or mounted to a free-standing pole and exposed to the elements.
- Accessibility Standards
o Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 requirements for visual and auditory accessibility.
o Features that support riders with visual or hearing impairments, such as high-contrast displays, adjustable font sizes, and audio announcements.
- Safety and Durability
o Certification for electrical safety and environmental resilience (e.g., UL, FCC, IP ratings for weather resistance).
o Ability to withstand outdoor conditions including temperature extremes, moisture, and vandalism.
- Data Security and Privacy
o Measures to ensure secure data transmission and protection of rider information.
o Compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards.
- Interoperability and Integration
o Compatibility with agency existing real-time data systems and GTFS-RT feeds.
o Ability to integrate with third-party applications and future technology upgrades.
- Content Administration
o Comprehensive content management to administer all displayed information from a single console.
o Administration of data feed for real-time information and variations in display format and design, regardless of hardware.
