Geographic Information System Base Map Updates

The Vendor is required to provide to develop, update, and maintain geographic information system (GIS) data for use in decision making processes within counties.
- Update existing countywide geographic planimetric data, including an existing consolidated impervious surface GIS layer, and associated metadata. Planimetric updates will be based on spring 2026 aerial photography and Orthoimagery available from the State. Legacy errors are not required to be corrected.
- Perform a new aerial LiDAR survey and produce LiDAR derived data. LiDAR data will be acquired in the 2026 winter/2027 spring flying season and used to create DEM, DSM, topographic contours, and a steep/severe slope GIS layer.
- Perform tree canopy change analysis, from 2024 to 2027, using object fate analysis or comparable methodology comparing data derived from LiDAR and orthophoto mapping.
- This imagery and the subsequent aerial triangulation and orthoimagery products will be used to support planimetric mapping
