The vendor is required to provide lead recruitment services for high profile positions on an as-needed basis.
- The city is interested in reaching a full range of highly qualified candidates, including those with less traditional backgrounds and diverse candidates, including women and candidates from underrepresented communities.
- Services include:
• Solicit input from the designated project manager, city council, search committee, and other appropriate stakeholders, through meetings and/or interviews to understand the role, responsibilities, qualifications and appropriate experience needed for the position.
• Develop a detailed recruitment profile.
• Develop a recruitment strategy, process, and timeline for completion of the work in consultation with the assigned project manager.
• Source active and passive candidates through a number of channels including firm connections, advertising, proactive outreach to potential candidates, and other strategic and best practice recruitment strategies.
• Manage the screening, evaluation and selection process of final candidates.
• Provide regular progress reports to the project manager.
• Recommend selection strategies for finalists and project manager.
• Perform reference interviews.
• Schedule and coordinate in-person interviews with city staff.
• Conduct in depth background screening that may include verifying education credentials, other related professional certifications, credit reports and criminal background investigation, detailed reference checks, and other screenings as requested.
- The successful firm may be required to pay the cost of travel and lodging of candidates invited to interview on site.
