- Source candidates
1. Conduct research to identify candidates through a combination of direct sourcing, networking, advertisements, social media, referrals, and database utilization.
2. Engage and recruit a diverse group of candidates, both locally and nationally, ensuring a diverse and highly qualified candidate pool.
- Screen and evaluate candidates
1. Utilize professional assessment tools to evaluate qualifications, skills, leadership capabilities, and cultural fit for the city.
2. Engage with qualified candidates to discuss experience and interest in city leadership roles.
- Facilitate interviews
1. Manage the logistics of interview coordination and facilitation.
2. Develop interview questions and processes in collaboration with the city.
3. Provide a shortlist of top candidates, along with written justifications of their candidacy.
- Conduct candidate due diligence
1. Conduct competency assessments, background checks, and reference checks.
2. Provide detailed candidate profiles, such as resumes, assessments, and interview feedback.
3. Ensure the confidentiality of candidates and the recruitment process at all stages.

1. Present a comprehensive report on finalist candidates to include:

3. Send post interview communication to candidates, regardless of hiring outcome.
4. Conduct offer negotiation and compensation analysis.
5. Assist city staff with structuring competitive compensation packages and negotiating offers.

1. Support onboarding by developing an onboarding strategy that ensures a smooth transition for the newly hired executive.
2. Maintain consistent communication with city staff regarding milestones in the recruiting process, including updating the city on candidate sourcing and outreach efforts.
3. Develop a post hire strategy that provides post-recruitment support.
4. Conduct periodic check-ins with placed executives and stakeholders to ensure successful integration and accurate performance assessments.
