Executive Search Services

The Vendor is required to provide executive search firms to serve as consultant to the board for the identification and recruitment of prospective candidates and eventual hiring for the position of president.
- Executive Search for President Requirements:
• Meet with the board and other related parties for discussions, in order to gain an understanding of the history, structure and operation of the college.
• Assess agency in order to identify key issues and challenges which it will face in filling the position, and the type of leadership needed for the college.
• Develop a position specification.
• Work with the board to identify basic responsibilities, reporting relationships, desirable experience and professional characteristics required of candidates. (Trustees have completed 80% of the presidential profile)
• Evaluate the competitive strengths and weaknesses of the national market pool for the position opening.
• Develop the strategy for identifying qualified candidates, including sitting presidents, rising stars at other institutions and/or non-traditional leaders.
• Develop the strategy for identifying a board qualified and diverse candidate pool.
• Educate the prospective candidates about the needs of the college, its history and opportunities for the person who leads it.
• Provide the agency human resources screening committee liaison with copies of resumes received and reasons for acceptance or rejection as a candidate.
• Assist the board with the evaluation of the candidates, providing evaluations of perceived strengths and weaknesses of each candidate during the process.
• Maintain schedules and timetables for the selection process.
• Provide information, materials and support to the board as needed, including compensation histories from potential candidates as is appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality of communications with candidates and board.
