The vendor is required to provide executive search consulting services for college.
• Take all necessary steps to begin services as soon after the award as reasonably possible.
• Clearly identify characteristics of the organizational culture and future direction of the college through focused interviews (or other evaluative measures) with the board internal college staff.
• Provide expert consultation to the board and the college project manager regarding all aspects of the presidential search throughout the performance period, beginning with the establishment of a preliminary timeline through to completion when an employment agreement is executed between the board and the presidential finalist.
• Conduct public forums with college stakeholders to identify the competencies, skills and abilities of candidates.
• Assist the board and the college in developing position qualifications and criteria.
• Assist with advertising the position in appropriate state and national media.
• Be knowledgeable of the higher education environment in the state and nationwide in order to provide personal outreach and recruitment of highly qualified and diverse candidates who will thrive in southeastern state.
• Provide a first review of applicant curriculum vitae and resumes.
• The provider shall sort the field of all applicants into groups of candidates who: 1) meet all established criteria for the position, 2) meet most of the criteria, and 3) candidates who fail to meet minimum standards for further consideration.
• Assist the presidential search committee and identify applicants that best meet the position criteria and qualifications for a shortlist. coordinate candidates' participation in the interview process.
• Assist with the development of an interview format and candidate questions.
• Consult with the college project manager on college arrangements for meetings, interviews, campus visits, website, etc. (provider and candidates are responsible for their own travel arrangements. any reimbursement will be made in accordance with the college's travel reimbursement procedures.)
• Debrief with the presidential search committee and/or the board.
• Evaluate candidates for serious consideration by verifying educational degrees, credentials and employment records. conduct a pre-employment background check of the finalist in accordance with the college's policy and procedures.
• Recruit additional qualified candidates if necessary or requested.
• Propose a plan to maintain confidentiality throughout the process.
• Propose a plan to adhere to state and federal law, including act, state open meetings act, and all relevant anti-discrimination and anti-retaliations laws.
