The Vendor is required to provide executive and leadership coaching services.
- Providers will offer both onsite and virtual coaching to support the growth and development of executive, mid-level, and emerging leaders, including managers and supervisors.
- Coaching services should focus on enhancing leadership skills, fostering equity focused and anti-racist decision-making, strengthening team and interpersonal dynamics, and aligning leadership practices with MHD’s core values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Key objectives include:
• Enhance leadership competencies: develop skills in strategic thinking, decision-making, and change management to improve organizational effectiveness.
• Promote equity and anti-racism: equip leaders with tools to embed anti-racism and equity principles into their leadership practices and policy decisions.
• Strengthen emotional intelligence: foster self-awareness, resilience, and effective interpersonal communication among leaders.
• Improve team collaboration: build leaders’ capacity to inspire and align teams toward shared goals in a culturally competent manner.
• Support leadership continuity: coaching will focus on succession planning, mentorship, and adaptive leadership to ensure smooth transitions and sustain organizational performance, securing department capacity to lead with vision, resilience, and equity.
- Initial Needs Assessment
• Conduct interviews, surveys, or assessments with department leadership and participants to identify coaching needs and priorities.
• Evaluate current leadership strengths, gaps, and opportunities for development.
• Prepare a summary report outlining findings and recommendations.
- Customized Coaching Plans
• Develop tailored coaching plans for: executive leaders: commissioner of health, deputy commissioner, HR administrator, budget and administration manager, marketing and communications officer, directors and program managers of various programs within the health department.
• Ensure plans align with department organizational goals and racial equity initiatives.
- Coaching Delivery
• Provide individual coaching sessions (virtual, in-person, or hybrid as agreed upon).
• Offer group coaching or leadership workshops to address shared challenges and goals.
• Topics may include: strategic planning and execution, change management, anti-racism and cultural humility, emotional intelligence and resilience, conflict resolution and effective communication, team building and collaboration, leadership and direct report accountability, improving organizational culture.
- Progress Monitoring and Reporting
• Track participants’ progress against coaching goals.
• Reports will be available to department on demand.
• Provide bi-monthly progress updates to department leadership.
• Adjust coaching plans based on feedback and evolving needs.
