The vendor is required to provide executive search firm (“offeror”) to provide executive recruitment and hiring services for the position of city police chief.
- Conduct a nationwide search, including identifying essential police chief characteristics, recruiting candidates, thoroughly reviewing applications, conducting background checks, and conducting in-depth interviews of the best-qualified candidates.
- Consultant will leverage the tools and technologies necessary to yield an ideal match for this position.
- Tools and technology may include established networks, industry-specific marketing, social media, professional associations, digital resources, and other methods to help identify and source candidates.
- The consultant will additionally reach out to (i.e., search) candidates that may not proactively apply at first but upon discussion, may be interested in and a good fit for this position.
- The groups will be facilitated and managed by the consultant. Consultant will provide working group members with preparation materials, rating guides and best practices for conducting and summarizing effective working group sessions.
- To ensure a successful transition, consultant shall provide the necessary coaching, education, communication and dialogue with the new chief of police and key stakeholders throughout the first year of service.
- This step will ensure that expectations are clearly understood and that performance to expectations are thoroughly discussed proactively.
- The final report will include all important process materials including candidate dossiers for each finalist, stakeholder and survey summary outcomes, scoring/rating guidelines and results and summary observations.
