The Vendor is required to provide employee assistance services for city employees.
- The City is interested in selecting a firm that will offer 24 hour a day – 7 day a week confidential assistance to approximately 550 employees and their immediate family members, covering, but not limited to the following areas:
• Family Problems
• Physical and Emotional Abuse
• Alcohol and Substance Abuse
• Divorce
• Childcare or Eldercare
• Debt Problems
• Legal Issues
- The company will establish and maintain an Employee Assistance Program covering all employees and immediate family members who reside in the same household.
- The company will contract with a professional Employee Assistance Program practitioner to implement, administer and maintain the program.
- The program is intended to complement, not replace, any and all existing personnel policies and procedures.
- A counselor will be on call twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven days a week for critical situations that may arise.
- Services will be provided to the employee at no cost including the initial counseling sessions.
- Program will be confidential except as exempted by law in cases of child abuse, a threat of harm to self or others, or unless the employee signs a release of information authorizing specific information to be released.
- Providing initial explanatory information for employees, including posters, brochures and other materials, the company will provide, on no less than a quarterly schedule, additional information to employees to explain available services.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
