The Vendor is required to provide executive recruitment services to support the city in the identification and selection of qualified candidates for the position of city manager, including a current recruitment for city manager, and for other senior level positions as requested by the city.
- Requirement:
1. Project initiation
• Conduct a kickoff meeting with designated city representatives.
• Coordination of project schedule and recruitment strategy for city review and approval.
2. Stakeholder engagement and candidate profile
• Facilitate stakeholder input as directed by the city.
• Incorporate candidate profile outlining desired qualifications, experience, and leadership attributes.
• Prepare recruitment materials for city review and approval.
3. Recruitment and outreach
• Conduct a national recruitment effort as directed by the city.
• Actively identify and recruit qualified candidates.
• Utilize appropriate advertising, outreach, and professional networks.
• Maintain confidentiality as appropriate.
4. Screening and evaluation
• Review and evaluate all applications received.
• Conduct preliminary interviews and assessments.
• Recommend qualified candidates for further consideration.
• Provide written summaries of candidate qualifications.
5. Candidate coordination
• Assist the city in identifying semifinalists and finalists as directed.
• Coordinate interview logistics and scheduling in coordination with city staff.
• Provide interview materials and evaluation tools in coordination with city staff.
6. Background and reference checks
• Conduct reference checks for finalist candidates.
• Verify employment history, education, and credentials.
• Conduct background screening in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
7. Selection support
• Provide guidance throughout the selection process, as directed.
• Assist with development of interview questions and evaluation criteria.
• Provide compensation and contract guidance, as requested.
8. Project management and communication
• Provide regular status updates to the city.
• Maintain consistent communication throughout the recruitment process.
• Identify risks, issues, and recommended adjustments.
