IT Network Refresh Services

The vendor is required to provide IT network refresh services for areas:
•    Replacement of the district's wired network
•    Replacement of the district's wireless network
•    Installation and configuration of all proposed wired and wireless equipment 
•    Enterprise network management solution - single pane of glass
- Ease of management 
•    Agency has small IT teams with competing priorities. 
•    Our wide use of chrome books and cloud-based data centers also imparts some security principles, which should benefit a simplified management structure. 
•    Agency current assignment of network management roles is relatively flat. 
•    We will be looking to build a new set of role-based administrative access, focusing on three main administrative roles: central network management, field support, and information security oversight. 
- Device diversity 
•    As we evolve to meet these future needs, we'll be looking for a solution whose management easily allows agency teams to apply layer 3-7 segmentation to unique use cases such as computer labs. 
•    This will give the labs basic internet access and peer-to-peer communication while protecting the rest of the agency network.
•    Building automation, bus cameras, and security cameras also have unique requirements and introduce unique risks to our environment. 
•    We'll be looking for a solution that will allow us to continue segregating these devices onto an easy-to-manage set of vans.
- Device and user visibility
•    As we implement our new network, we'll be looking to increase visibility of both devices and users on our network. 
•    We'll be looking to address the following scenarios:
o    Notify IT teams when a shadow IT department places a new unapproved building automation system onto the network.
o    Tie users to devices at times on agency production and guest networks, and provide basic visibility into network usage.
o    Assist in identifying devices connected to the network that may be vulnerable to a zero-day vulnerability.
o    Quickly locate a device wirelessly connected to our network.
