The vendor is required to provide information technology (IT) surplus services in support of the service desk team within division.
- IT equipment to support end-users.
- The IT equipment is no longer required to be in service, IT requires to be properly dispositioned.
- Provide the services of a computer and electronic recycler.
- Provide a regular pick-up service to support all the sites, process the equipment, and disposition the equipment per agency service desk instructions.
- Tasks and responsibilities:
• Provide a single point of contact for the coordination of IT surplus services.
• The service desk, pickup designated surplus equipment per the defined location within the department of conservation.
• After pickup, provide secure storage of the equipment until IT has been properly dispositioned.
• Removal of asset tags, stickers and identifying marks.
• Communicate the status of all pickup requests.
• On a monthly basis and as requested, provide listing of inventory and status of all IT equipment.
• Process control for chain of custody from removal to sanitation to final disposition.
• Verification of sanitization methods – verifier must test a sample or 100% of devices depending on risk and sign off.
