The vendor is required to provide that labor related legal services to the authority regarding the negotiation of labor contracts between the authority and its various bargaining units, and the administration of those contracts, as requested by the authority.
- Consultation regarding the negotiation of labor contracts between the w authority ha and its various bargaining units, and the administration of those contracts, as requested by the authority,
- Consultation with the authority in connection with court actions, appeals, administrative proceedings, grievance arbitration, and other personnel and civil service matters in which the authority would benefit from labor counsel's expertise,
- Legal representation of the authority in those court actions, appeals, administrative proceedings, grievance arbitration cases, and negotiations in which the authority has determined that such representation is in the best interest of the authority,
- Review of current job descriptions and new responsibilities,
- Consultation with the authority on union concerns,
- Creation of new job descriptions,
- Review and assist in the implementation of the agency personnel policy.
- Assist in the development of the authority employee training schedules and procedures.
- Please note that the preceding is not intended to be an all-inclusive listing of the legal issues for which the ha may retain the successful proposer but is intended to be representative of legal labor services previously required by the authority.
- The successful proposer does not have in-house a qualified person to provide any services required by the authority, the successful proposer may retain another counsel who has such a qualified person.
- Any billing/payment for such additional counsel will be at the same hourly rate listed within the contract.
- The authority will contract with the successful proposer only, all ensuing payments for any contracted matter will be made by the authority to the successful proposer only.
- The authority reserves the right to, at any time during the ensuing contract period, and without penalty to the legal counsel retained as a result of, conduct additional competitive solicitations to retain additional legal counsel when, in the opinion of the ED, it is in the best interests of the authority to do so.
- Accordingly, the legal counsel retained as a result of have the right to also respond to any such additional solicitation process, if conducted.
