The vendor is required to provide legal service categories:
• Board and labor matters
• Handle board and labor related matters.
• Including but not limited to civil service law section 75 and education law section 3020-a disciplinary proceedings; public employment relations board hearings; employee contract interpretation; harassment and discrimination investigations and report preparation; responses to division of human rights/department of labor claims; negotiations with bargaining units.
• Special education: the firm will handle special education matters, including guidance on specific situations, up to and including impartial hearings.
• Handle civil right, policy, and board procedures, public records/open meeting law compliance, ethics/conflicts of interest, social media and other miscellaneous matters.
• Student matters: the firm will handle student related matters, including student discipline and superintendent’s hearings.
• Tax certiorari proceedings
• Real estate, construction, & contracts: the firm will handle facilities, land use, property transactions, public bidding, procurement law, construction contract disputes and any other related contract matters.
