The Vendor is required to provide to complement existing services by providing mental health services that include virtual counseling sessions, primarily to students outside of the state or those not able to access existing center services.
- Demonstrated experience in providing virtual third-party clinical services, including triage, crisis support and individual therapy to an undergraduate and graduate student college population.
- Must only utilize fully independently licensed mental health clinicians to provide direct services, primarily in the form of individual counseling.
- Established procedures to address emergent crises that may occur during virtual counseling services.
- Also be able to provide after hours (after 5pm) and weekend clinical services.
- Processes for providing effective communication access under the ADA, particularly with blind, deaf and hard of hearing students accessing your services.
- An established process in place to evaluate the effectiveness of provided mental health therapists, and to address any inadequacies in a timely manner.
- Provide specific training and ongoing continuing education opportunities, including in college student mental health.
- Ability to provide counseling in multiple languages, with a particular emphasis on Korean, Spanish, Cantonese, mandarin and Farsi
- Established procedures to transfer care to specialized mental health services when indicated
- Ability to integrate/download client data and clinical documentation into center EHR system, with a preference for real-time access (e.g. dashboard)
- Ability to provide regular and accessible data utilization reports
- With appropriate release of information, ability for center clinical staff to coordinate care directly with vendor provided therapist when clinically indicated
- Ability to provide services in multiple languages is important and services must be provided by licensed clinicians.
- Of secondary interest is the ability to offer 24/7 on demand support for students presenting with emergent crises.
