The vendor is required to provide legal counsel services for include:
• General counsel and legal advice concerning laws pertaining to state law and adjudication of board ownership of water rights before the state court;
• Legal representation in state court cases involving water rights appurtenant to state trust land;
• Legal research regarding adjudication of the state’s interest in water rights appurtenant to state trust land.;
• Memorandums, recommendations and summaries regarding laws pertaining to the adjudication of water rights appurtenant to state trust land; and
• Notification of the board, and department, as agent of the board, of any potential conflicts of interest that may arise from any work performed.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, professional standards of conduct and ethics, and any standards established by the board.
