Legal services

The Vendor is required to provide for legal services.
- Work effectively in a highly emotional climate;
- Accept and schedule cases within three (3) school weeks of assignment during the school year (three (3) calendar weeks in the summer), offering participants multiple dates of availability for their convenience;
- Mediators shall act in an unbiased manner and shall conduct a client-centered process;
- Mediators shall recuse themselves from any assignment in which they have a conflict of interest with any of the parties. They shall inform parties of the process, their roles and parties’ roles in the mediation conference. Parties shall be informed of and presented with a confidentiality pledge, although no party can be required to sign the pledge.
- Mediators shall help the parties to identify the issues and help them to generate and assess options which might lead to agreement;
- Conduct the mediation in a confidential setting and maintain confidentiality of all parties involved in mediation;
- Maintain confidentiality of all records related to mediation assignments, including written and electronic correspondence, forms, mediation agreements, and any student education records.
