Legal Services

The Vendor is required to provide for Legal Services.
- Services include:
•    Legal opinions on various aspects of contract law and corporation documents and processes;
•    Legal opinions on various aspects of mortgage, land and collection law;
•    Legal opinions on various aspects of agency funding agreements.
•    Legal opinions on various aspects of agency management agreements with societies, legislated bodies and authorities and other organizations;
•    Registration and certification of mortgages, liens and caveats on freehold and leasehold property within state;
•    Preparation and mailing of demand and legal letters to clients of agency;
•    Assistance in the collection process for mortgage and rental clients and other debts owed to the agency;
•    The preparation and execution of legal action against mortgage clients, rental clients and any person, organization or company that owes debts to the agency;
•    The preparation and execution of foreclosure action on behalf of agency;
•    The preparation and execution of legal action taken against contractors engaged by agency in the construction, retrofitting, renovation ,repairs, restoration and alteration of housing;
•    The preparation and execution of legal defense action in response to legal action taken against agency by contractors, staff, clients and others.
•    The preparation and execution of legal action taken by agency against contractors, staff, clients and others.
•    Legal opinions on obligations under the agreement, including interpretation and application in housing-related matters;
•    Legal guidance on environmental assessments and regulatory compliance for agency housing construction and development;
•    Legal opinions on climate adaptation regulations applicable to agency infrastructure and operations;
•    Legal support for agency governance including board operations, policy development, and administrative decisions;
•    Legal opinions on compliance with the agency legislation affecting agency;
•    Legal services related to land and property access, including easements, rights-of-way, land use planning, zoning, and municipal service agreements affecting agency projects;
•    Legal support for cybersecurity, data protection, and breach response protocols applicable to agency systems and records.
